Aretha is one heck of a diva! Silverjet sponsored La Dolce Vita black tie down at Cipriani on Thursday night and Greg M. invited a small group of us to enjoy the festivities. As Aretha was sweating away onstage singing her classics like RESPECT, she was also losing her shit about the "air being to cold and ruining her voice". She yelled for Clive Davis to heat up the room. I kid you not. He was sitting in the audience. A space heater was plugged in onstage and she was brought steaming cups of hot water to keep her chords lubricated. It was so ridiculous it was amazing.
